
Hopkinsville Community College has received an $8,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation to support scholarships for students pursuing CNC technology and machining-related engineering programs.
The funding helped provide Gene Haas Scholarships to six students enrolled in HCC’s computerized manufacturing and machining (CMM) program for the fall 2025 semester. Recipients include:

The Gene Haas Foundation focuses on strengthening manufacturing education and encouraging students to explore careers in skilled trades. The foundation supports technical training nationwide through scholarship grants, robotics team sponsorships, teacher training, Haas Technical Educators Conferences, and the development of Gene Haas Centers and Labs.
Each year, the Gene Haas Foundation donates millions of dollars to educational and community programs. All grants are provided to tax-exempt organizations through an online application process. In 2024, the foundation awarded more than $32 million in grants, contributing to a total of over $225 million donated since its founding in 1999.
