Ronald K. “Ron” Terrell, age 70, of Mount Washington, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at UofL Health – South Hospital in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
He was born on August 20, 1955, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to George Edward Terrell and Opal Gray Terrell, who preceded him in death.
Ron grew up in Louisville and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisville. He dedicated many years to working in drywall at Burton’s Drywall. Prior to his work in drywall, he honed his skills in roofing and metal work, and served as the scheduling supervisor for a corrugated pipe company. Ron approached his work with the same kindness and thoughtfulness that defined his character, always ensuring that he treated others with respect and care.
A member of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Ron was known for his active involvement in his church community. His dedication to helping others was evident in all aspects of his life. Alongside his brother, he authored a book that focused on life’s lessons and the importance of helping others, reflecting their shared faith and God’s guidance. He was a kind and friendly soul who enjoyed helping those around him. He cherished his family deeply and took great joy in visiting his relatives in Cadiz, where his family roots ran deep.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Clifford McConnell.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Katrina Burton Terrell of Mount Washington; his brothers, Michael E. Terrell (Catherine) of Louisville and Stephen G. Terrell (Patricia) of Simpsonville, Kentucky, and his sister, Sharron McConnell of Louisville.
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 12:00 PM, Monday, November 24, 2025, with Rev. John Hagan officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Cemetery in Cadiz. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour of 12:00 PM.
