Mark Wayne Cottrell, age 47, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at his home from natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Monday, November 24, 2025. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mark Wayne was born in Christian County, KY, on August 15, 1978, to Bell Moore Gasik of Hopkinsville. He was a 1999 graduate of Christian County High School and later worked at Trace Industries. He was a Boy Scout and a Christian man. He is preceded in death by his dad, Charles “Chuck” Gasik, in 2017, and his brother, Billy Ray Cottrell, in 2019.
Survivors include his mother, Bell Cottrell Gasik of Hopkinsville.
