After another tied vote broken by the mayor, businesses in Hopkinsville will see a reduction in their business license tax. Tuesday night, with Brandi Stallons absent and Mike Velez abstaining, the council voted 5 to 5 on the second reading of the Occupational License tax.

City Council also approved the second reading of the public comment time extension and the first reading of the dissolution of the cable oversight authority. Meanwhile, Chief Financial Officer Melissa Clayton presented the October financials.
