The Storm Prediction Center has placed western Kentucky and especially the Pennyrile Region under a marginal risk of severe weather on Tuesday afternoon, with heavy rain possible on Thursday and Friday.
Keith Cooley, a lead forecaster with the National Weather Service, says Tuesday’s severe storm chances could bring hail and a possible tornado.

While Cooley says it’s still too early to predict the weather accurately for the Thanksgiving weekend, he says the models show a warm day on Black Friday and a 20-30-degree temperature drop on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
