A Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers franchisee who owns the Hopkinsville location has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

M&M Custard, LLC, and its 31 affiliates filed for bankruptcy protection to reorganize their businesses and restructure debts, according to multiple sources.

The Overland Park, Kansas-based debtor filed its petition in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas on Friday, listing $5.2 million in assets and $27.7 million in liabilities.

Locations potentially impacted by the Chapter 11 bankruptcy also include Paducah, Owensboro, and two in Evansville, Indiana. There is currently no information on whether the Hopkinsville location will close as a result.

This does not affect the new Oak Grove location.
