The Trigg County Athletic Department is hosting a special fundraiser in collaboration with students from the Trigg County Career and Technical Center.

Students will soon be creating shadow boxes to commemorate former athletes from Trigg County Schools using pieces of the original wood floor from the high school gymnasium.

Engineering teacher Lori Ricks explained to Cadiz Rotary Club members earlier this week that Jeremiah Lawrence, Emma Dowell, and other students have been working to create the project’s design.

The boxes will feature a small piece of wood from the flooring that was installed in 1962, which will be engraved with a Trigg County Schools logo. The shadowboxes can be customized with stats from high school sports or feature a plastic ‘T’ that will be 3-D printed.

The shadowboxes are $75 each and can be ordered by clicking here.
