Gilliam Announces He Will Seek a Second Term as Christian County Judge-executive

Jerry Gilliam has announced he will be seeking a second term as Christian County judge-executive.

He called the rewards over the past four years “humbling” and says the county continues to make progress on the strategic plan the county enacted in 2023.

click to download audioJust in the past year, Gilliam says the county has had to navigate through several issues ranging from storms to flooding to a federal government shutdown.

click to download audioGilliam says over the past three years, they have increased communication and collaboration across the county, shared ideas, partnered with regional leaders, and reduced the tax rate three times.

Looking ahead, he says he would like to work to attract new economic development, improve the efficiency of county government, and expand housing opportunities, especially in the southern part of the county.
