A Hopkinsville man was charged with assault after a fight with his ex-girlfriend on Wallace Avenue Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 42-year-old Robert Sheppard was staying with his ex-girlfriend when they got into a fight and he grabbed her by the wrist, twisted her arm, and pushed her against a dresser.
Police say during the fight, Sheppard stood on top of her bed and urinated. His driver’s license was reportedly out of Ohio, but he claimed he had been in Kentucky since November of 2024.
He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, residents not to use license of other states, and first-degree criminal mischief
