Charles Clayborn Walton, Jr., 78, died at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Ganther and Rev. Rachel Ganther officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky he was born on November 19, 1946 the son of the late Charles Clayborn Walton, Sr. and Virginia Webb Walton.
He was the owner and operator of Walton Farms and also worked in highway construction for many years. He was a member of Liberty Christian Church, attended Murray State University and Austin Peay State University, he was a member of the Young Farmers and Kentucky Farm Bureau, he served as a board member for the Hopkinsville-Christian County Airport and Hopkinsville Elevator and proudly served in the United States Army Reserves 100th Division.

Survivors include his wife: Janet Berkley Walton of Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, Charles Clayborn “Clay” (Ashley) Walton, III of Hopkinsville, KY and James Bart Walton of Nashville, TN; his daughter, Casey Lynn Walton of Hopkinsville, KY; his sister, Alice Walton Lyle of Campbellsburg, KY and his granddaughter, Emma Kathryn Walton.
