A large crowd of veterans and community members gathered in downtown Hopkinsville Saturday to honor and remember veterans during the 26th annual Hopkinsville Veterans Parade.
The parade included veterans walking and riding along the parade route from the War Memorial Building to the Christian County Justice Center parking lot. Others in the parade included members of the Christian County Jr. ROTC, bands from Hopkinsville and Christian County High Schools, Kentucky State Police, Hopkinsville Police and Fire Departments, Christian County Sheriff’s Department and Christian County Rescue. Noticiably absent were color guard and military units from Fort Campbell that could not participate due to the federal government shutdown.
