Patriotic pride filled the streets of downtown Hopkinsville Saturday as hundreds gathered for the city’s Veterans Day Parade — a heartfelt celebration of service and sacrifice.

For many in attendance, including local veteran John Bruce, the day was a reminder of the lasting impact of military service.
The parade featured veterans’ groups, local organizations, and students — including members of the Christian County High School ROTC program, like twins Isabell and Rheanna Walker.

As flags waved and music filled the air, spectators like Mary Armstrong reflected on what the day means.

The parade was sponsored by the Military Affairs Committee, VFW Post 1913, and Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation — a community coming together to say thanks to those who’ve served.
