Ila Mae Holder, 87, of Hopkinsville, died at 10:18 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville with Paige Sperry Williams officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Epley Station, KY, she was born January 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Mike Epley and Annie “Josie” Skipworth Epley. She was the Floral Department Manager for Winn-Dixie. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, and making floral arrangements. She loved to cook and make Christmas candy. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Russell Holder; her son, Timothy Edward Holder; and her sister, Ethel Jean Pearson.
Survivors include her children: Marsha Lynette Mackovyak of Orlando, FL, Pam Holder Sullivan (Jack Rigg) of Lewisburg, TN, Alan Wade (Dawn) Holder of Smyrna, TN and Kelly Anne Holder (Billy Ray) Climer of Murfreesboro, TN; and her brother: Mike Epley (Junior) of Hopkinsville, KY; and her grandchildren: Lesley Flick, Bradley Mackovyak, Brian Mackovyak, Damon Sullivan, Emily Plank, Tosha Wedgworth, Alan Michael Holder, Alyssa Holder and Brandon Kaetzel; and her nine great grandchildren; and one great great- grandchild.
