
Christian County’s Grand Jury found itself busy with several cases this week, after handing down several true bills along the way.
A true bill has been returned for 32-year-old Amanda Banks, of Hopkinsville, when on or about January 1, 2020, and July 11, 2025, she reportedly committed crimes and is charged with 18 counts of first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 or under, four counts of second-degree domestic violence and assault, one count of first-degree domestic violence and strangulation, one count of fourth-degree assault and child abuse, and four counts of distributing obscene material to minors.
The second-degree domestic violence and assault charges specifically notes she intentionally or wantonly used a shock collar on necks, legs and arms — causing physical injury — while the one count of fourth-degree assault and child abuse is for physically striking a child with a switch.
Bail was set at $25,000 per each child abused, for a total of $100,000.
Furthermore, a true bill was returned for 39-year-old Joseph Banks, of Hopkinsville, for related actions in the same time frame. He reportedly committed crimes and is charged with 17 counts of first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 or under, four counts of second-degree domestic violence and assault, as well as four counts of distributing obscene material to minors.
He, too, is accused of using a shock collar, and his bail was also set at $25,000 per child, for a total of $100,000.
Both were arrested on Vass Lane in early September, and according to Hopkinsville Police, children had been subjected children to cruel punishments, various abusive instruments and forcible viewing of sexually explicit programming.
Kids had been struck multiple times with paddles and belts, locked in a bathroom, and more.
A true bill has been returned for 36-year-old Jessica Reeve, of Oak Grove, when on or about September 18, she reportedly committed crimes and is charged with three counts on the offense of first-degree wanton endangerment by engaging in conduct that created substantial risk of death or serious injury to “J.K.,” “J.K.” and “A.K.”
Bail was set at $15,000 with 10% posted.
Oak Grove Police said they were originally called by DCBS to Meadow Lane, and discovered feces on the walls, trash on the floors, and two 10-year-olds and a 6-year-old in the home.
A true bill has been returned for 36-year-old Montavious White, of Hopkinsville, when on or about September 30, in Christian County, he failed to return to jail while on work release.
He was charged with being a second-degree escapee, and bail was set at $5,000.
A true bill has been returned for 30-year-old Marcus Dillard, of Hopkinsville, when between September 1 and September 10, he reportedly committed crimes and is charged with the offenses of using a minor under 16 in a sexual performance, first-degree sexual abuse of a victim under 12 years old and third-degree sexual abuse.
Bail was set at $25,000.
A true bill was returned for 21-year-old Bradley Robinson, of Clarksville, Tennessee, when on or about September 18, he committed first-degree assault to “D.D.” by intentionally driving his truck into her vehicle, and causing serious physical injury.
He has also been charged with failure of maintaining required insurance and reckless driving, and bail was set at $50,000 with 10% posted.
