A report of the sound of shots fired led to a school being put on high alert in Crofton, Thursday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say someone reported the sound of shots being fired on Madisonville Road near the Crofton Elementary School, leading to the school being temporarily put on high alert.
The sound was reportedly found to be coming from someone sighting in a rifle down the road on private property.
