A traffic stop on Interstate 169 in Christian County led to a short pursuit with law enforcement Sunday afternoon.

Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Andrew Roper for speeding, but he fled, passed a vehicle in the emergency lane, exited at exit 86 on Interstate 24, then came to a stop.

He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding, reckless driving, improper passing, no insurance first-degree wanton endangerment, and DUI.
