Christian County Farm Bureau President Barry Cornelius took a moment to thank local and state officials for their partnership and support throughout the year during the annual Legislative Appreciation Breakfast.
Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. Knight, Christian County Judge Executive Jerry Gilliam were joined by Kentucky representatives Myron Dossett and Walker Thomas, Kentucky Senator Craig Richardson, and officials from Hopkinsville and Christian County during the breakfast Monday at the Christian County Farm Bureau south office.
Cornelius says they hold the event annually to show their appreciation.
Cornelius says there was no real ask from the farm bureau board members that were on hand, but several issues remain a priority.
Kentucky Farm Bureau President Eddie Melton several county farm bureau’s hold similar meetings around the state.
Melton says the resolutions committee will finalize priorities for the year during a meeting this week at Kentucky Farm Bureau headquarters in Louisville.
The resolutions will be presented to the Kentucky Farm Bureau membership for their approval during the annual meeting in December at the Galt House in Louisville.
