Community Health Systems, Inc. announced last week that it reached a definitive agreement to sell the remainder of its ownership stake in the joint ventures operating Tennova Healthcare—Clarksville and associated ancillary businesses to subsidiaries of Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Vanderbilt, which currently holds a minority stake, will pay $600 million in cash to acquire full ownership of the 270-bed hospital and related services.
The transaction is expected to close in early 2026, pending regulatory approvals.
