The 2026 Kentucky General Session is a couple months out, but local officials are already thinking about their goals and priorities.
8th District State Representative Walker Thomas, 9th District State Representative Myron Dossett, and 3rd District State Senator Craig Richardson shared some of those Thursday night at a Town Hall.
Thomas says he is hoping to get traction on one particular issue plaguing roadways.
click to download audioHe adds he will also keep pushing to remove the income tax from retired military pay to make Kentucky competitive with Tennessee. He concedes the overall reduction in income tax is accomplishing that, but he would like to see it done faster.
Dossett says he is honored to serve at the chair of the agriculture committee and wants to use that platform to help with property owner rights.
