Larry Eugene Shemwell, 75, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Bro. David Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY he was born September 6, 1950 the son of the late Duncan Shemwell and Mavis Boren Shemwell. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. He was also a member of Western KY Corvette Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Judith A. Shemwell; and his brother: Ronald “Ronnie” Shemwell; and his sister: Wilma Shemwell.
Survivors include his children: Stephanie (Aron) Hotson and Scott L. Shemwell all of Hopkinsville, KY; and his sister: Linda (Jeff) Dorn of Aberdeen, SD; and his grandchildren: Cadence Michelle Hotson and Donovan Christopher Hotson of Hopkinsville, KY.
