The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hopkinsville–Christian County is calling on the community for support through a special food drive to help feed local children impacted by the ongoing government shutdown.
Club officials say the number of youth attending Boys & Girls Club programs has increased in recent weeks, and they want to make sure no child goes to bed hungry. Donations will help provide meals to local youth and families who need them most.
Community members can help in several ways — by donating online, dropping off non-perishable food items, or spreading the word about the drive. The organization encourages everyone to tell friends and family about the effort to ensure every child has access to nutritious food.
Most needed food items include canned vegetables or meat, rice, pasta, cereal, soup, peanut butter, Ramen noodles, and individually wrapped snacks.
Those wishing to help can make monetary donations through the secure online link: https://square.link/u/PETHDzMC.
Food donations can be dropped off at the Boys & Girls Club location at 1600 Walnut Street in Hopkinsville.
Every contribution, no matter how small, helps provide comfort and stability to children and families in need during this challenging time.
