Dollar General has opened its newest store at 8800 Rockcastle Road in Cadiz, offering the community more convenient and affordable access to everyday essentials.
A grand opening celebration is set for Saturday at 8 a.m., featuring $10 gift cards for the first 50 adult customers and free DG tote bags for the first 100 shoppers.
Matthew Simonsen, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development, said the new store will bring both economic and community benefits.
The Cadiz store is expected to employ six to 10 people, offering competitive pay, training, and benefits such as day-one telemedicine access, health coverage options, 401(k) plans, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leave and adoption assistance.
Dollar General also supports local education through the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, which provides grants to schools, nonprofits and libraries within 15 miles of its stores. Since 1993, the foundation has awarded over $275 million to support literacy and learning initiatives nationwide.
Store hours and details are available through the Dollar General app.
