The Nashville Half Marathon & 5K presented by First Horizon returns to downtown this Saturday, October 25, celebrating 16 years of running through the heart of Music City.

More than 3,200 participants from over 40 states and five countries will take part in the annual event, which begins at 7 a.m. at First Horizon Park.

Runners will make their way through a scenic route that includes downtown, The Gulch, Music Row, Demonbreun, Nissan Stadium, and Bicentennial Mall. Live music and cheer zones will line the course, bringing extra energy to Nashville’s hometown race.

Race Director Malain McCormick said organizers are proud to welcome runners from across the nation and around the world, calling the event “an incredible celebration of community and endurance.”

Road closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to noon, and city officials encourage residents to plan ahead. With ESPN College GameDay in town, college football games at both Vanderbilt and Tennessee State, and sunny fall weather in the forecast, a busy weekend is expected across Nashville.

The American Cancer Society serves as the event’s official charity partner through its DetermiNation Endurance Series, which supports athletes raising funds to help fight cancer.
