The 8th Annual Hopkinsville Half Marathon brought people from far and wide to take to the streets for 13.1 miles.
With a time of 1:18:28, 36-year old Michael Uhlig blew past the competition to take first place.

click to download audioFollowing behind by 9 minutes was second-place finisher 26-year old JS Andra of Dublin, Ohio. 16-year old Jude Finch finished 3rd with a time of 1:29:15. 39-year old Ashley Evans of Jackson, Tennessee, finished fifth overall and first in the female division with a time of 1:29:39.
Meanwhile, 16-year old Tyson Cavinder finished the Hoptown 5K in 18:26, beating 17-year old Savior Davis by one second to take home first place. 14-year old Lucas Coats rounded out the top three.
Parks and Recreation Director, Toby Hudson says the day was perfect.
