Guy Gosnell, age 71, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.
Born on August 3, 1954, in Kirkwood, Missouri, he was the son of Jim Gosnell and Pat Baumgarn Gosnell.
Guy was an entrepreneur and landlord who found success for many years dealing in real estate and flipping houses.
Known for his trading skills and ability to haggle, Guy could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He loved to spend time on the water, fishing and boating, and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Guy was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Pat Gosnell.
He is survived by his devoted partner of nearly 30 years, Joan Cruz, of Cadiz; his children, Nickole Crites (Cody) of St. Louis, MO, Joanna Dixon (Bo) of Cadiz, Guy Justin Gosnell of Hopkinsville, KY, Krystinia Thorp (Justin) of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joshua Cruz of Nashville, TN, 11 grandchildren, Brionna Dixon, Savannah McCown (Chase), Alyssa Dixon, Aurora Ives, Christopher M. Dixon, Presley, Maddux & Brock Thorp, Mallory & Rowan Crites, and Jameson Cruz; two great-grandchildren; his father, Jim Gosnell of Cadiz; and his sisters, Joy Boyd (John) of IL and Lea Spangler of Cadiz.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, is in care of the arrangements.
