Buddy Adkins, 78 of Hopkinsville, KY died at 3:15 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Danville, VA he was born June 19, 1947 the son of the late John David Adkins and Estelle Mae Hayden Earles. He retired as a Regional Manager from Atmos Energy, after his retirement he worked for PACS doing patient transport. He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years: Cheryl Lois Adkins; and his sons: Tim (Tracy) Phillips of Murfreesboro, TN and Beau (Stephanie) Carter of Denver, CO; and his daughters: Teresa Carter of Elkton, KY and Amy Adkins Stevenson of Crofton, KY; and his brothers: David “Butch” (Jennie) Adkins of Danville, VA and Randy (Denise) Adkins of Burlington, NC; and his nine grandchildren; and his twelve great-grandchildren.
