Names Released In Friday Seminole Avenue Crash

A wreck on Seminole Avenue in Hopkinsville sent a man to a Tennessee hospital Friday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say at 4:15 pm, an eastbound SUV driven by 39-year-old Emerald Forgette, of Hopkinsville, was on Seminole Avenue and failed to stop at the intersection of North Henderson Drive and collided with a second SUV driven by 71-year-old James Drennan, of Hopkinsville, that was on North Henderson Drive.

A passenger in Forgette’s SUV, 53-year-old Joseph Stewart, of Hopkinsville, was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville with severe injuries.

Police say Forgette stated she was not able to stop due to the wet roadway.
