A Hopkinsville man was charged with drug possession after he was seen around a closed business on East 9th Street on Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they got out with 56-year-old Ronald Young, who was walking around a closed business at 2 am, and he claimed he was looking for cigarette butts in the parking lot.
Police say a crack pipe could be seen in the door panel, and after a search, crack cocaine and a second pipe were located along with 200 grams of an unknown substance.
The unknown substance will reportedly be sent to a lab for testing.
Young was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, operating on a suspended or revoked license, and he was found to have a warrant for failure to appear.
