More than 100 entries were on hand for the annual Trigg County Ham Festival Horse Show Saturday night at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.
More than 200 spectators gathered around the Arena of Champions Saturday night for the Trigg County Riding Club’s annual horse show. Competitors showed more than 100 horses and ponies in various classes ranging from lead line classes for riders 10 and under to the Jack Benny class for riders 40 years of age and over. There were also fun classes like the egg and spoon game and the toilet paper game.
The show was judged by Bunny Crayne of Paducah. Donald Dunn served as the announcer for the show, with Trigg County District One Magistrate Barry Littlejohn and WKDZ’s Alan Watts serving as guest ringmen for the show.
The Trigg County Riding Club’s annual horse show is one of the first events leading up to the Trigg County Country Ham Festival October 10th and 11th in downtown Cadiz.
