Hopkinsville Museum Gala Blends Jazz, History, and Horse Racing Heritage

The roaring twenties came alive in Hopkinsville this weekend. The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County hosted their second annual gala, celebrating the local legacy of horse racing and the 100th anniversary of Christian County thoroughbred Flying Ebony’s Kentucky Derby win.

The Hopkinsville History Foundation and the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County hosted their second annual museum gala Saturday evening.

Executive Director Alissa Keller says the theme was a nod to the county’s horse racing history.
