Man Found Sleeping In Vehicle Charged With Drug Possession

A Henderson man was charged with drug possession after he was reportedly found sleeping in his vehicle on Lafayette Road Wednesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 40-year-old Gilbert Brown, who was sleeping in his vehicle in a parking lot with the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

A bag containing marijuana, meth, and Clonazepam pills was reportedly found inside the vehicle.

While at jail, Brown was reportedly found to have a bag of meth in his pocket. He is charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, public intoxication, first-degree promoting contraband, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
