School Board Approves Budget With Additional Police Purchases

Christian County Public Schools are preparing for increased growth of its police department ahead of the opening of the new Christian County High School next fall and the end of its contract with the Hopkinsville Police Department.

Thursday night, the Board of Education approved the working budget for the 2025-2026 shcool year.

Director of Finance, Jessica Darnell says the 78 million dollar budget for the year includes a healthy contingency.
