A teenager has been charged in connection with a shooting on East 21st Street in Hopkinsville that sent two people to the hospital Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for a shooting and found one juvenile who was shot in the leg and a second who showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm.
Law enforcement blocked off the area as they worked to collect evidence.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says both juveniles who were shot are around 16 years old.
Police say blood was found inside one of the apartments that one of the juveniles ran into, and several shell casings were found in the road and on the sidewalk.
After several interviews and video evidence being reviewed, Police say a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a minor, and will be lodged in the McCracken County Juvenile Detention Facility.
