Three officers in Hopkinsville were recognized Wednesday for their measures to help a man who was harming himself on March 19th.
Hopkinsville Police say officers Cameron Dearmond, Jace Baxter, and Trey Johnston were called for a man on the ground in a grassy area, acting unstable and threatening to harm himself.
When they arrived, the man reportedly pulled a knife and began to harm himself. Police say the three officers quickly disarmed the man and began providing life-saving measures until EMS arrived.
Police say their courage and lack of hesitation saved the life of the man while upholding their oath to protect and serve.
