
An Oak Grove man was charged with assaulting a police officer at the Quality Inn in Oak Grove on Tuesday morning.
Oak Grove Police say they were called for 26-year-old Eric Watson, who was causing a disturbance, and found him under the influence of some substance.
Police say he tried to walk away from officers, resisted arrest, spat on an officer’s face, kicked the cruiser door, and would not stop yelling and making threats.
Watson was arrested and charged with second-degree terroristic threatening, third-degree assault of a police officer, alcohol intoxication in a public place, and resisting arrest.
