James Michael (Mike) Ladd, age 74, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025, at his home of natural causes.
Private Graveside Services were held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Flat Lick Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home was entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Ladd was born on June 22, 1951, in Christian County, KY, the son of the late Charles and Helen Futrell Ladd. He was the Pastor of Johnson’s Chapel Methodist Church and Kirkmansville Methodist Church. Mr. Ladd was also a real estate agent and auctioneer. He was a member of Christian Heights Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, C. Don Ladd.
Survivors include his sons, J. Michael Ladd of New Jersey; Jonathan Marcus Ladd (Jessica) of Cookeville, TN; stepson, Trace Smith (Lisa) of Owensboro, KY; stepdaughter, Suzanne Joiner (David) of Hopkinsville, KY; brother, Robert Eddie Ladd of Tennessee (formerly Christian County); sisters, Anna Kenady of Calvert City, KY, Reita Robinson (Charlie) of Murray, KY; granddaughter, Elin Ladd; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
