A traffic stop on Interstate 24 led to drug charges for an Oak Grove man Saturday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Russell Nielsen for window tint and due to a check of his license plate that showed unconfirmed insurance.

During the stop, deputies say they could smell the odor of marijuana, and after a search, an amphetamine pill was located.

Nielsen was arrested and charged with possession of meth and excessive windshield/ window tinting.
