An Oak Grove man was charged with assaulting two police officers after a disturbance on Mandarin Drive in Oak Grove Monday morning.
Oak Grove Police say they were called for 38-year-old Phillip Majors, who had struck his family member in the face, ripped her shirt, pulled a door off its hinges, and put holes in the walls.
When law enforcement arrived, he reportedly fled on foot but was located walking on Stateline Road.
Police say he resisted arrest by pulling away, threatened to kill officers, threatened to burn down the police department, and threatened to make the person he assaulted pay for his arrest.
Majors was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, third-degree terroristic threatening, retaliating against a participant in a legal process, third-degree assault of a police officer, first-degree fleeing or evading police, and resisting arrest.
