A Radcliff man was flown to a Nashville hospital after a single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 169 in Christian County Sunday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a car driven by Devin Fitzpatrick was southbound around the 17-mile marker when he lost control, causing the vehicle to hit a guardrail and overturn several times before coming to a stop in the woodline.
The driver of a tractor-trailer stopped and put out a fire that started in the engine of the vehicle, and another passerby helped get Fitzpatrick out of the car.
Fitzpatrick was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to a waiting helicopter that flew him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville due to his injuries.
Deputies say they were told Fitzpatrick was driving recklessly just before the crash.
