More than 3,000 people attended the first of the two-day Trail of Tears Indian Pow Wow Saturday at Trail of Tears Park in Hopkinsville, with a full slate of activities set for Sunday.
Day one of the annual gathering featured dancing, story telling, native American crafts, and traditional foods at the park on East 9th Street.
Sunday activities include the grand entry at 1:00 and an awards ceremony at 4:00.
Admission to the 38th annual Trail of Tears Pow Wow is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 7 to 12, with children six and under admitted free.
