A Herndon man was charged with DUI, along with fleeing from law enforcement after a traffic stop in Pembroke Thursday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Gideon Stoltzfus for going 37 mph over the speed limit on Pembroke Oak Grove Road.
Deputies reportedly caught up to Stoltzfus’s vehicle, and it went over a hill at such a high speed it became airborne.
Stoltzfus reportedly stopped for law enforcement on South Main Street at East Nashville Street and stated he had been drinking beer within the last few hours.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, no operator’s license, inadequate silencer on his muffler, DUI second offense, reckless driving, and speeding.
