During Thursday morning’s Cadiz-Trigg County Economic Development Commission meeting, South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council’s Carter Hendricks confirmed much has been done to continue promotions of the open speculation building at the I-24 Business Park.
Having just returned from Chicago and the Transatlantic Business & Investment Council Annual Conference, Hendricks called the empty — but promising — facility “the best marketing tool” the region currently possesses.
Furthermore, for the first time in SWK EDC history, he and SWK’s Sharon Butts and Tony Prim are preparing a 15-minute virtual visit and webinar for the property — in order to digitally showcase it for potential business suitors.
Hendricks, as well as Trigg County Judge-Executive Stan Humphries, also affirmed that a recent visit in Hopkinsville with Kentucky’s Secretary for Economic Development Jeff Noel went well — in which Noel was made aware of the building’s availability, while Hendricks and Humphries were left with positive impressions about Kitchen Foods’ arrival in Christian County.
The collective closed in executive session, with no action taken, for discussions pertaining to recruitment activities in the community, and financial matters under KRS 61.810. They will next convene November 27.
