A Cadiz man was charged with possession of drugs after a traffic stop on North Vine Street in Hopkinsville Tuesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Evig Anderson for failing to stop at a stop sign, and found he did not have proof of insurance.

After a search of his vehicle, a cigarette pack containing a white powder, an open alcoholic beverage, a pill bottle with three small rock-like substances inside, and marijuana were reportedly found.

Anderson was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, disregarding a stop sign, failure to notify address change to the Department of Transportation, failure to produce an insurance card, and possession of marijuana.
