Bluegrass Splash Getting Ready For Annual Doggie Dip

The Bluegrass Splash Family Aquatic Center in Hopkinsville will wrap up its summer season with a special event for four-legged visitors. The park will host its annual Doggie Dip on Saturday, September 6, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

For a $5 fee per dog, owners can bring their pets to enjoy the water park before it closes for the season. The event comes in response to growing community interest, with local dog owners requesting a dedicated day for their pets to splash and play.

During the Doggie Dip, only pets are allowed in the water, while human swimming is not permitted. To ensure safety, lifeguards and staff will be on-site to supervise activities. While the park’s slides and lazy river will be closed, other areas of the aquatic center will remain open for dogs to swim, cool off, and socialize.

Hopkinsville Mayor JR Knight says the annual Doggy Dip is always fun to watch.
