Agriculture, Business, And Law A Focus For Trigg Distinguished Alumni

Trigg County will welcome distinguished alumni class Friday and Saturday during the latest celebration this weekend.

Distinguished Alumni Committee member Mike Wright announced the latest class members Tuesday morning. This year’s inductees include agriculture businessman Bob Brame, farmer Firmon Cook, 56th Circuit Judge Jamus Redd, Professor and community Lee Woodruff, businesswoman Phoebe Jones-Venable, and the late Terry Scott Duncan.

Wright says the distinguished alumni program has a two-fold purpose.

Wright says the inductees will be part of some special events Friday and Saturday in Cadiz.

He says the public is welcome to be a part of the events Saturday afternoon at the Trigg County Schools Little Theater.

Wright says previous classes have been honored with plaques that hang in the lobby at Trigg County School, with an idea being discussed to make the honors accessible digitally.

The Trigg County Distinguished Alumni Ceremony will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in conjunction with the Trigg County High School alumni reunion.
