A wreck on US 68 in Christian County sent four people to the hospital, three with severe injuries Friday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say two cars collided in Trigg County while heading eastbound into Christian County then one of the cars accelerated and crossed into the westbound lanes still going eastbound.
The car then hit a van and an SUV head-on before coming to a stop.
The driver in the car that reportedly crossed into the westbound lanes had to be cut from the vehicle before being flown to a Nashville hospital.
Deputies say the driver of the van and her child were also flown to a Nashville hospital.
One person in the SUV was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Health for minor injuries.
