A Nashville man was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon during a traffic stop on Pembroke Oak Grove Road Thursday night.
Oak Grove Police say they stopped a vehicle for having a headlight out and noticed a gun somewhat concealed by a bag in the backseat next to 53-year-old Jeffery Albea.
Albea reportedly shoved the gun into the trunk before being removed from the vehicle.
Police say he was found to have a previous conviction for robbery and was in possession of marijuana.
Albea was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and carrying a concealed weapon by a prior deadly weapon felony offender.
