Phyllis Ann Shields, age 82, of Hopkinsville, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Trigg County Hospital, of natural causes. Funeral Services will be on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Home at 12:00 PM with burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, August 29, 2025. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Shields was born on March 16, 1943, in Hopkinsville, the daughter of the late Clyde Francis and Blanche Roberts Wallace. Ann retired from Hopkinsville Water Company, and she was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Shields, her son, Kelly Minton, her brother, Clyde Wallace, Jr, and her grandson, Kevin Phillip Minton.
Survivors include her sons, Brad Minton (Linda) of Hopkinsville, KY, Phillip Minton (Shiela) of Hopkinsville formally of Argyle, TX, Chuck Minton (Ashley) of Hopkinsville, KY; her brothers, Bruce Wallace (Viva) of Nashville, and Rusty Wallace (Elizabeth) of Clarksville; her sisters, Claudette McLoed (Bill) of Virginia and Fran Scheli (John) of Hopkinsville; her grandchildren, Heather Fitzsimmons (Brian), Phillp Minton, Chandler Minton(Mallory) and Heather Jurgenson(Jesse); her great-grandchildren, Hayden Fitzsimmons, Ethan Fitzsimmons, Gemma Minton, Ryder Minton, Jaxson Jurgenson, and Jameson Jurgenson.
