
A Hopkinsville man and woman were charged with theft after they reportedly used counterfeit money to make purchases in Hopkinsville on Sunday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 21-year-old Samuel Williams and 19-year-old Za’nyia Garland used counterfeit money to make purchases at three stores on Canton Street.
They reportedly purchased alcohol, vapes, and groceries.
They were both arrested and charged with theft by deception and third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
