Christian County High School senior Lacey Paige has been selected to serve on the Kentucky Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council, becoming the first student from Christian County to earn the honor.

The statewide council is composed of public school students in grades 10–12 who provide input on issues such as school safety, mental health, career readiness and student voice in decision-making.

Members, chosen through a competitive application process, represent each of Kentucky’s seven education districts and meet regularly with the Commissioner of Education and Kentucky Department of Education staff.

Superintendent Chris Bentzel praised the appointment, noting it reflects the district’s commitment to including students in education policy discussions. He said the role will allow Paige to make a meaningful impact on behalf of students across the state.

Paige said she is honored to represent her school and county, describing the opportunity as a chance to contribute to the future of Kentucky students while working with other high-achieving peers from across the Commonwealth.

She is the daughter of Anthony and Kimberly Paige of Crofton.
